Lessons
We have lessons for all ages and riding levels in Boxford. Whether you are a first time rider, a returning rider looking to regain confidence in the saddle, or an experienced rider looking to compete and learn more about the Icelandic horse. I focus on body awareness in the saddle and connection with the horse
to gain harmony.
Education
We provide education about the Icelandic horse and Icelandic riding style through clinics, lectures, video instruction, private lesson, and guided horseback treks to Iceland. We also offer instruction and testing clinics for the Knapamerki System developed by Holar University in Iceland.

Train & Board
We offer full board with turnout at our boutique barn in Boxford. You can also add training to your board. Our training program is customized to each client whether you want to train for sport competition, breeding shows, desensitizing to a new environment, post-import adjustment, or simply exercising for mental and physical wellbeing. My name is Ebba Meehan, an Icelander who grew up riding and studying Icelandic Horsemanship in the valleys and mountains of Iceland. I am the owner and operator of Merrimack Valley Icelandics. My mission is to have every student, every rider and every boarding owner experience the joy
of the Icelandic Horse breed. As a certified riding instructor, life long equestrian professional,
and Kripalu Yoga teacher, I teach Icelandic-style riding; emphasizing body awareness, confidence, safety, and making
a connection with the Icelandic horse.

I feel so fortunate to have found MVI. I look forward to growing my relationship with my mare guided by Ebba's knowledge, dedication and insight.
